Staring into the sun in Mare street, off a bus

Query

Have searched (not very hard) for the death scene of the openly gay medic, Witty, from the ultra- Boy's Own 70's mercenary movie 'The Wild Geese'. It came to mind and appears to be lodged firmly in my mind as a formative memory. I remember it being both blackly humorous, weirdly heroic and wildly racist in such an odd way that it has stuck.  Unusual to have a gay man portrayed in such a setting in a relatively 'straight manner'. Although he obviously had to be hacked to death, much in the same manner as women in horror films, for the crime of being themselves.
Possibly this remembrance is a function of being over 50 and an instinct to look backwards and forwards in my life, such as it is. Listening again to music of my adolescence too, 'Setting Sons' and 'Unknown Pleasures' especially. So I am alternately morose and quite angry.
If any one finds the clip, let me know. Not sure it will help me, but I might be able to put it to bed. It will save me watching the whole film.
