Unexpected post

Sitting, somewhat incongruously, in Ambassador Lounge at Changi International in Singapore awaiting connecting flight to New Zealand. Just been reading 'Overshoot' by Willam Catton, which has made my current location seem ifinitely more perverse. It would make more sense to go home, probably on foot, and begin growing vegetables and working out a source of regular heat.
The current 'financial crisis' makes some sense with regard to Catton's view of over-exuberance and the endless demand for ever-sustained 'growth' and increasing living standards. I shall definitely be reading Phil Knight (philzone.blogspot.com/) and John Michael Greer more closely.
Don't feel any less overwhelmed about what 'the right thing to do' is.
